Hello all NYers. Aimee and I will be in Cicero June 29th - July 2nd and in Rochester from the 2nd to the 6th. We dont have any hard plans to be doing anything but we will have grandparents that may be willing to watch the kiddos for us to be able to get out. If anyone around these areas might be interested in hooking up for a small gtg let us know and we will see what we can schedule. Maybe some Rochester people might be interested in shooting one of the fireworks displays.

Another possibility is this - if we do a fireworks gtg that Friday we may be able to head back to my dads bowling alley/bar. He needs to talk to my stepmom about opening as they were planning on being closed, but if he decides to stay open we could bowl, have a drink and set up our strobist gear and shoot in a bowling alley. I will update as i get updates.

Allegheny is scheduled for August. Give me a bit and I will find the dates. Unfortunately it will only be one week - sunday to sunday - because of Aidan starting school. But it is booked and we will definitely be there.

Rochester is a great place to shoot, lots of neat locations downtown around the river.
Be sure to stop by Nick's and have a garbage plate for me.

I might be home from college then. I'm from 30 minutes south of Rochester and would definitely come up to meet you. I'll let you know when I buy my tickets.

Unfortunately, that's a very busy week for me, otherwise I would love to meet up. But if you get the chance, you should drive south into the Finger Lakes. Ithaca is about 1 hour south of Syracuse and has many spectacular waterfalls.

Odds are we will end up driving into Groton at some point while we are in Cicero. Aimee grew up in Groton and her grandmother still lives there. I am not sure when or how much time we will spend in that area. We will also be in Elmira (I think thats where we will be) to shoot Aimees sisters wedding. But I will keep posting as plans firm up.

OK - So I just confirmed with my dad that he will be open FRiday 4th of July. Aimee and I are planning on going to see and shoot fireworks (no location firmed up just yet) and then head over to L&M Lanes over on Merchant Street. Dad says he will have chicken wings for everyone (and if you love chicken wings he has some of the best in NY - took 3rd place in the Great Chicken Wing Hunt). I will have all of my strobist gear with me for shooting. The alley is an older style 2 floor, 12 lane (6 up and 6 down) bowling alley. If you are interested shoot me a PM and I will get you proper contact info.
