Hello everyone,
Got an EzyBox Hotshoe softbox from Lastolite to use with an off-camera Speedlite.
Here are some of my first experiments with it (we also used a reflector in some for fill):
Nespresso organized a contest in Europe for their customers. The two winners would be invited to Milan to participate as extras in a new ad with George Clooney. A friend of mine wanted to apply and this is what we took the pictures for.
More than 7200 Nespresso drinkers took part in the competition (it wasn't really about photography, they just wanted to see what people look like. You had to send them a head & shoulders pic and a head-to-toe one). We haven't heard back from Nespresso and therefore assume we didn't win... (It would be foolish if they only contacted the winners. Send a nice e-mail to all the participants, thank them for taking part; that costs you nothing. Otherwise you'll disappoint thousands of your most loyal customers...)
Anyway, please let me know what you think of the pictures. What's wrong with them? What do you like?
Thanks a lot,
Sam
P.S.: I'll keep experimenting with the EzyBox. Umbrellas are next. Also finally got my expodisc today (not easy to find around here...), so gray cards hopefully won't be needed any more. |

Is the Speedlite camera left? Sun/reflector camera right?
I like the lighting, the contrast makes a very bold portrait. |

Thanks, Mark. Yes, the Speedlite is on the left, the reflector on the right and from below in most cases. |
