Can someone tell me the best way to restore an edited photo in CS3 back to it's original appearance in RAW? I have an edit that went bad and need to rework it. Thanks. |

If you don't have the original raw file and you have already saved the edited image there is nothing you can do. Always save the original image file. |

Try and restore the RAW file from the CF card by using, say, Sandisk's utility. |

Actually it's off the disk and on my hard drive. When I open the file out of Bridge, doesn't the file in My Pictures remain the original? |

You can't make permanent changes to a RAW file - it's one of the benefits of RAW. Whatever you do to the file is saved as a set of instructions like an action that is run when you view or convert the file to JPG.

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER! In the Basic section of Camera Raw, click on the drop-down to the right of the word Basic. Then click on Camera Raw Defaults , and your original should be restored. Contact me if you have any further questions about this |
