Does anyone know of a store near Cooperstown, NY that would sell professional film and/or do color processing? I'm out here for the same internship that Lovethelight did last summer. All the work is in digital, but I'd like to keep working in film while I'm here. I found a community darkroom in Oneonta that I'm going to take a look at to do my own B&W processing. But I still need to actually buy the film and get the color film processed.
At this point, it seems like my only options are to order film from B&H and send it out to some currently unknown lab for processing. So if any of you happen to be from the area and remember what you did when you shot film, any advice would be tremendously appreciated! |

Not sure how helpful this is, but here goes...
Mpix.com will process film for you and send you negatives/prints while also posting the images on their website for you. I use them for all my digital printing and have always been very happy with the quality, so I can only imagine that it would be the same for film.
The other option for developing color film is your local CVS. I do some printing there when I need stuff really fast, and I've let them do a few rolls. It looks pretty good to me; just be sure to tell them you want all the prints, not just the ones they think are "good."
As for getting film, I'd probably just order it from B&H or Adorama. It won't cost much more, and finding B&W film locally (that isn't color process) is a real pain without a good camera shop. On the other hand, you can usually find Kodak B&W Color Process in CVS, which they can develop in their machine and give you negatives for.
