I'll be shooting my second Model on saturday and I had prepared to do some swimsuit stuff with her at a local private lake (got permission to come and shoot before the lake opens to the rest of the community)... when I arranged everything it was going to be a nice hot sunny day... now the forcasters are calling for cool and rainy... I had intended on doind some in studio stuff anyway, but I'm looking to some ideas for fun stuff to do in the rain... Also I don't think I've ever had to shoot in the rain... any tips to make sure the photos come out great? |

Make sure to have your lights, and continue with the planned shoot even if it rains. Can add for a fun affect. Take an umbrella, and have her dancing along the lake in the rain. Or sitting on rocks or whatn't.
You could always take with a yellow rain jacket and do some pouty face shots
Take an idea of something totally backwards from what you would do in the rain and stuff and go with it.

A while back someone here posted a help me thread pertaining to some shots he/she took of a model in a bikini in the rain.
They were actually pretty good but what stood out for me was you have to fit the models expression to the weather. Smiling shots in the cold damp weather were contradictory and didn't fit. Pouty, pondering, moody expressions enhanced the situation, and came across quite effective.
The fun shots in the rain can be effective but you will need to exagerate the happiness, really play it up.
Sorry no help... just an observation from a past shoot.
