I have somehow switched my crop tool to rotate the selected crop. Usually I have a straight crop with 6 points to adjust from but now PS2 is only giving me the corners to adjust. What the heck did I do????

No clue. I can't get ti to replicate that situation. Every time I use crop tool, if I float the pointer outside the crop I get rotate arrows, they are always available, but I can't get the tool to give me a bounding box without the middle handles, they are always there too.

Firgured it out, had to reset the tool.....

| Was it set to a fixed aspect ratio? |

not sure, just used the "reset tool" function and it went back to normal
