Looks pretty nice. What was burning?
When I take a photo with fire as the light and subject, it usually illuminates the whole scene, and if change the aperture and shutter speed to darken it, the whole fire doesn't appear. |

Nice shot.
I can't quite make out if that is a persons head in the shot or etc?
I think just a little more detail from the shadows and maybe a silhouette in front would have made this a lot more powerful.

It's a bonfire. they must have used scrap wood. though it does seem to have a definite structure doesn't. I think it may be flats for the theatre or something.
And yeah it is a head. Though I thought that the way the silhouette is at the edge of the fire and the complete black of the backround was an asset. But I do see what you mean.
