Take a photo of a landmark that is almost always photographed the same way and try to get a unique view of it.

Well known subjects come to my mind such as: The London Eye, Eiffel tower, Statue of Liberty, Golden gate bridge, Petronas towers, but it can also be a locally known landmark. As an example: The Tarrant county courthouse that is frequently shot from the same view looking down main street.

The good, but common perspective:


My own effort to be a little different:


I realize this challenge could leave out a lot of folks that don't live near large cities or known landmarks, but it was an idea I wanted to toss out, as we have plenty of folks that do live in such places.

Yours reminds me of this one of mine;


Sadly, I think it's just a bit too exclusionary, if we want landmarks that most voters would recognise. :(

I recongnise that land mark!!! Worlds largest torch :) the worst part is I'm looking at the stupid thing in real life as we speak (at the joys of working DT)

back on topic I like the idea... granted now I know which landmark I wont be doing :(

bah... I really do stare at it far to often... but our ski jumps... that could be a challenge... do the mountains count as a landmark?
