OK, I am going to swap sides here to throw an idea out.. I havent read the T&Cs regarding the educational version, but say your kids buy it, then dont want it and then sell it on to you... its probably covered but just a bit of food for thought. |

I purchased it for $299 as a special price for PSE owners.
That being said, I want to weigh in on the educational software topic.
It is in Adobe's interest to get photoshop in the hands of those just starting off to cultivate a market. Many of those who use it under the educational licensing program will eventually make purchases at work which will more than make up for the discount.
The key to these offers is that the companies license it for non-commercial use. If you are going to make money off the product, Adobe wants to be paid. That seems fair. For a family to take advantage of a discount purchase offer based upon their child's education, its part of their expectations. Otherwise, they would make it explicitly a non-starter. |
