Here are my first two. I'm definitely enjoying this new macro lens. :)

It was great seeing everyone!

Now I'm feeling like a slug for not processing much of anything yet :-( Had a great time though. But next GTG we need to do a better job of bribing the weather gods!!

The Saturday DC GTG extended a bit into Sunday, hope you don't mind my posting a pic from Sunday's GTG here...

Don't feel too bad Mary, I still have not touched any of my shots from the Arboretum yet. After playing with the first 200 shots and then voting on a challenge I'm putting them off til later in the week.

Looks like you guys had a good time today, sorry we missed it. Is that the McCormick and Schmidt's at the Reston Town Center?

Karen's shot is a bit more, well, photographic, but I can offer, umm, weird.... :-)

And there are a few more of the Sunday group in my portfolio if you're interested. Was a tad warm... but we handled that by spending most of our time eating. Did you know dark chocolate is an antioxidant and therefore good for you??

It was a nice warm HOT weekend in DC. Not what we had in mind when this GTG was planned back in July but we had a good time nonetheless. It was nice meeting some new friends and getting reacquainted with familiar faces. Thanks to everyone who participated and especially to Jeff levyj413 for organizing everything.

A special bonus for us all was meeting with Deb melethia who graciously spent her layover in Washington with us. Check my portfolio for more images.

Yay; I processed some pictures! Sort of dumped them in my portfolio for now without proper titles or anything but they're there :-)

Some favorites:

Garden o' Photographers:

Weird faces:

Flowers:

WWII Memorial:

Except for almost melting I had a grand time :-) It's always fun to hang out with people who think it's perfectly normal to take dozens of pictures of one little bug (right, Jeffrey?).

Thanks for sharing the photo's everyone. Its great to see such varied perspectives on similar subjects.

Since Sherri attended but is not a DPC member (yet!) I thought I'd post a link to her Flickr account here. She has posted some shots from our GTG there.
