Recently I've been going thru some of my older files and I ran across this photo. It hadn't been processed and thought I'd take a shot at tweaking it a smidge. I'm glad I did. :-) I've started a list of files/dates to revisit since rediscovering them. With a few years of post-processing and several new tools (software programs) acquired, it's interesting to see what potential I may have overlooked or forgotten about. Now all I need is WAY more time! :-)

Thanks for looking.

I've found the same as well. Often revisiting some shots a few months or years afterwards, I will find some gems. This one sat on my hard drive for about 4 years, until my PP skills were good enough that I was able to clone my feet out of the shot. It's now one of my personal favorites.

But it's a 'Footbridge'! Feet required. :-P It's a fun comp with the various lines.

I totally agree with both parts of your statement! :-)

One thing I like to do when I'm posting specifically to show some aspect of post-processing is to upload a "resized original" to a separate folder, and put a link to it in the details area of the edited photo.

I don't know if my editing skills had improved much (I've been using Photoshop since version 2.0), but it was fun to be forced to go back almost four years for the Best of 2002 Challenge (which was the 2006 April Fool's speed challenge) and re-edit this vacation picture taken with my Olympus D-490Z.

Yep, this is on my to-do list as well -- new skills bring new results.

This one is lovely! I love to go through old photos of my children to remind me how sweet they were when they were small(er) and to see how much they've changed.

Thanks! Speaking of children, I ran into a few shots that I missed (usually make 4x6's of general kid keepers). They sure DO grow up fast, don't they. :-)
