My grandparents are in town today and I've really been wanting to get some photos of them together. I have an idea in my head of them holding hands over a bible, like just a Bible and their wedding ring hands in the shot. I can totally see the shot in my head but I'm not completely sure how to set it up or exactly how to position them. I'm kind of hoping that maybe someone has done a similar shot that I could look at so that I could get more a concrete idea of exactly what I need to do. I don't see my grandparents very often anymore and they're getting old, so I really feel like I need to get some great shots of them while they're here today.

I'm thinking something kind of dark-a dark background with just their hands and the Bible lit. I have a black backdrop and studio lights that I can use and I think I know basically what I need to do, I just don't want to keep my grandparents sitting around all day while I experiment! So any tips you could give me, or any photos you could share that are similar to that idea would really be appreciated!

You have half of the battle won....you have a vision of HOW you want your image to look.

Just imagine, within your own available space, or rented space, where you will put the grandparents.

Imagine in your head the lighting, the type of lens needed for the execution, what clothing they should wear, the different looks from them, your bg, blah, blah, blah.

It's not brain surgery...it is simply art that is in your brain begging to get out.

Good luck.
