looking for any input on a camera bag - back pack - that will hold a canon 10 & 30d, 17-40 f4L, 70-200 f4 L, sigma 105mm f2.8 macro, 430ex, 550ex, and the rest of the accesories ( chargers, batteries, cards, filters, etc. ).
i'll be shooting a wedding in krakow - poland, travelling from there to prague, and then to munich, and back to krakow to fly home.
i'd also like to be able to pack a lunch, maybe some extra socks, shirt, etc.
a bit more than a day pack but not something that runs more the $150 US.
it's hard to chose a bag w/o having hands on touchy feely ;} no camera shops worth visiting around here.

I've managed to stuff quite a load of gear into a MiniTrekker. In line with all other internet forums, I therefore have to unreservedly recommend to you the item/equipment that I have, in order to validate myself and my choices.

i might keep the back pack over the day pack, not sure...
i'm bringing a canon 30d, 10d, 70-200 f:4 L USM, 17-40 f:4 L USM, sigma 105mm f:2.8 macro, 430ex flash ( maybe the 550ex too ), chargers, 5 canon batteries, 12 aa rechargeables, CPL filters, 10 gig in CF cards, power conversion thingy etc.
going to skip the lens hoods, tripod, might skip the sigma macro, might skip the 10d body. but don't want to be left hanging if i run into a problem.
am i forgetting anything ?
ETA: oh and a jar of peanut butter. i hear it's hard to come by in poland.

I stuffed about as much as you list in the Lowepro MiniTrekker. You can lay a pair of pants or shirt on top of your gear in the main compartment as well as put your change of undies with the smaller stuff in one of the pouches.
Depending on the airline, you may be allowed two carryons. Just check the sizes. |
