Bridge seems to have always been showing my shots in the preview panel pre-adjusted to some sort of Automatic Levels. This is very annoying, expecially when I've purposely shot under or over-exposed. I've been through the menus looking for sometihng to turn on/off but haven't found anything that has taken effect. :-(

have you tried to check or uncheck the boxes under edit->preferences->advanced->miscelleauos-> "enable color management in bridge" aaand "use software rendering"?

in my case the first box is checked the other one not and my previews turn up exactly like i see them when opened in photoshop (cs3, too)

eta: n/m ;P

Ah dang, thanks Mephisto, I tried that already, but you got me looking further and I got it fixed in Edit -> Camera Raw Preferences -> Unchecked "Apply auto tone adjustments"

Wheeee! I feel as if I've been freeeeeeed! :-)
