I'm looking for a LONGER D300 camera strap, so that the camera hangs about waist height, or adjusts. I'm sure I can makeshift something however I would prefer something already made. I've been unable to get anywhere with B&H looking through their straps. It doesn't need to be a Nikon branded product, just reliable.

Thanks again (I ask too many questions I know, I'm sorry!!!)

Try a third-party brand - such as a neoprene strap. I have an Optex strap, and the camera hangs at my hip (strap is adjustable). The neoprene strap makes the weight of the camera easier to bear. The strap is long enough that I can wear it diagonally (left shoulder, right hip).
