I've just been reading an article about Participation Inequality and it set me wondering about how it applies here on DPC.

Summary:
In most online communities, 90% of users are lurkers who never contribute, 9% of users contribute a little, and 1% of users account for almost all the action.

Here on DPC I'd have said that the percentages aren't right, at least for challenge entries, so I'd say we buck that trend. The forums are probably closer but even there, the "how's your score doing" threads, increase participation a good deal.

I'd put myself in the "9% contributing a little" category.
