PCWorld online magazine just published an article about a PayPal Scam I thought might be of interest to those that use PayPal. Here is the link:

Spiller, while we should always be on the alert for such fraudulent activity, the article in your link is an old one, dated Nov. 17, 2003 - four months ago. I guess the point is that we should always make sure our anti-virus software is up-to-date, and to NEVER open unexpected email (and especially any attachments) from people we don't know.
Thanks. |

It might be an old article but, ironically, I just received an e-mail yesterday on this very subject. No attached virus but, none the less, reason to keep these sort of things visible. I was going to copy and share the e-mail with you but discovered that the whole text of the e-mail is a link to someplace (who knows). No I haven̢۪t clicked it and don̢۪t intend to.
Too bad all those jerks out there can̢۪t apply their creativity to something useful (like photography for example).
Take care
Dick

Perhaps the virus is being newly circulated again as the article is published in the new March 18 2004 online PCWorld magazine.
