For some odd ball reason, I decided to rummage through the old prints I could find from back in the day of working with newspapers. It was really weird looking at things that had not been touched in 20 years. Anyway, I found an early self portrait that doubles as a portrait of a camera!

What a tough challenge. Where is everyone going to find a camera?
It'll be an exercise in creativity to do something more that just a decent shot of a camera. I've got some ideas I've been rolling around in my head that I didn't get around to doing for other challenges.

I have a great idea and have been working on the setup for the last 2 nights but my stumbling block is getting a 2nd camera. I have a call in to a couple of friends to see if I can borrow theirs for the evening tonight but so far no luck. |

| Not a problem here. I have a fair collection from antiques to stuff I used when I was a kid, to recent models. My problem is too many. If you lived nearby, I'd be happy to loan you a couple. |

BTW - I did track one down. Picking it up at 8pm tonight and returning it to him by 11pm.

Max finally took an ok shot of me. Now I have a portrait of a camera for 20 years later...

Yah, ok, the first ones not really much of a camera portrait...i just thought the 20 year comparison was fun! Its weird, ya know? 20 years just go by in the blink of an eye...

I finished mine up tonight (barring seeing something I missed). I am hoping the post processing I chose is appreciated since ...dang...I can't say right now. Well. Suffice to say I used some techniques that made the photo look rather un-DPC like. I sooo want to say more

Interesting stuff there but didn't see anything like my concept. I've given up on the whole duplicate/redo thing. It's all my own ideas from here on out. |

OK, mines in. Whilst I'm happy with the image I'm not happy with the title so will probably change that before rollover.
Fingers crossed that it does well. |

I'd sure like to redo that one... at least the ribbon part! It's my one and only, and will probably always stay that way :)
I must have nearly two dozen cameras ranging in age from 1918 and every decade except the 20's since, and I don't have an entry!! |
