Anybody up for a short side challenge? Just for fun. I'm thinking a week of wild things (animals, places, weeds, whatever) for the first week of June (1-7).

I'm in Mary, I need a break from some wedding photos I've just about wrapped up and this is just the thing.

Sounds like a fun thing to do. I may have to post some a couple of days after I shoot them because it is during fishing season here and I like to go offshore deep sea fishing for a few days at a time.

I like the idea of a one week side challenge. A month is too long I find.

I'll add everyone's names to the initial post once a day so we've got a list in one place, and start another thread for the images on June 1.

I'd like to give this a go - I haven't yet managed to complete a side-challenge, but dependent on work I might manage a week. And I love wildlife photography.

Not the definition of "wild" I had in mind, but I am not one to limit creative definitions in a side challenge.

I'll update the participant list tonight; have fun looking for more wild images to, uh, stimulate everyone's creativity ;-)

how do side challenges work, where do the pics get posted (just to our page or what) how do i be a part of this etc, ive never done one

I usually set up a folder specifically for the side challenge that I'm in. Then there's a thread specifically for the side challenge that you post your shot for the day. Here's an example.

You can store them under your portfolio, which is under My Home -> My Portfolio

You best bet is to create a New Collection called something like June Wild Things and then you can put your images into that.

You then just upload one picture a day (if you can't manage that then it's not an issue) and post the thumbnail in the thumbnails thread ... take a look at the may side challenge thread for an example

If you have the time to comment on other peoples images then thats great, if not it's not really an issue as it is just for fun
