From Saturday's air show in Modesto. Didn't take too many photos as I was juggling a 1 year old and trying to keep tabs on a 3 yr old. Here are a few.

I had already put my camera away and was preparing to leave the show while the third stunt pilot made his final pass and performed a series of barrel rolls just over the runway(20-30' maybe)??? As he started to pull out at the end of the runway, he dipped down, caught a wing tip and spun into the apron in a cloud of dust and airplane parts. The pilot was mediflighted to a local hospital with broken ankles and listed in serious condition. Thankfully he wasn't killed. It was beyond surreal. Here is a shot of the crash site. I was less than 300 yards from where he landed.

I saw that on the news and figured there would be a DPCer there. WOW - amazing he survived! Then again you were dealing with a 1 year old and a 3 year old and trying to shoot pics - it's amazing you survived! :)

I was nervously chewing on corn chips moments before the crash. Because the pilot is OK, I can openly wish I had been shooting his trick(as my 3 yr old called it). :)
