Thanks, guys. So now I know that if I enter anything before getting a new monitor I need to make it look a little soft to me. That's gonna be hard to do... :)

No kidding. I fight that myself. With the proliferation of hyper-bright, hyper-sharp LCD monitors I have to make my images dark and soft on my monitor to help them score. But to PRINT the danged things, I have to make them bright and sharp... It's a conundrum. My challenge entries only vaguely resemble my print files...

Bear_Music, What is your source for monitors? When I tried finding a CRT online the only thing I could find was a Dell, everything else was LCD and nothing locally.

I think it's probably better than the alternative :) But yes, I agree that it's a tragedy that he has to live that way.
