I'm participating in the Luxembourgian-Belgian contest for Canon's competition 'The Assignment'. If you can spare two minutes, please support me by voting for my contest submission. Here's the link to my photo: //ta.canon-europe.com/?pg=gallery&cc=lu&lc=en&photo_id=foto480b1b9654d6f
Just click on 'Vote' in the lower right hand corner. It could be that you need to choose Luxembourg as your country when you register in order to vote for my entry.
Thank you very much for your support!

The Netherlands have their own category in this competition. I had expected Luxembourg to have one of its own as well, but sadly enough most corporations just annex us to Belgium. It's sad when in a 'Choose your country' list of the EU your own country is missing.
Anyway, keep the votes coming, and thanks for the support so far! |

A last shameless bump before I let this drift off into oblivion until the results are in. |

I am in the italian challenge for the assigment("l'incarico" in italy), on the italian forum of canon there was a similar message but the response is that we refuse every help that come from the friends. when the challenge end we will submit the shots on the gallery for a discussion on the photos.
P.S. I like the photo of Gilles :) |

That's great, Gennaro. I'm not trying to single out Gilles' request, but it always strikes me as ironic that people ask their DPC friends to vote for their images in other contests, considering the recurrent threads about trolls/cheats/etc. It makes me wonder if there are people on DPC who ask their friends to register and vote for their images on DPC.

Larry, web sites as DPC are a game (a beautiful game but always a game) the challenges are a game between photographers. cheat in the game means destroy the game! obtain a good position in a challenge is very nice but only if you deserve that position. |

I see where you're coming from guys, only in this case Canon sent out e-mails to all participants encouraging them to invite other to vote for them. I'd have preferred the contest to be anonymous, but the way this contest works, not to ask for votes would be to reduce my chances in a way that doesn't correspond to the image's merit.

You can only vote if you are from Europe. Just tried to register. No USA votes. Sorry.
