While looking through the galleries of BetterPhoto I came across this photo from a DPC member, Leroy White.

Very emotional, sad. A great photograph that delivers a strong message.

Are you related to him (I noticed your uid is garryWHITE). Yeah, that's a good picture. Most of those don't look that good because of the conditions when taking the shot, etc., but this one is pretty good.

Not that I am aware. Up until the 90's White was the 9-10th most popular surname in the U.S. There's lots of us.

Excellent photo - the eye drawn to the colors of the flag.

On a political note, it is noteworthy, at least for me, that this is the FIRST image of a soldier's remains I have seen since the the start of the invasion of Iraq, and that is because of a forced media censorship of images like this by the administration - at least pics of soldier's arriving on U.S. soil.

I think it is important for us to see photos like this one, to be able to respect and appreciate the sacrifice of our young men and women. Thanks for sharing it.
