You guys are going to get tired of me taking pictures of my dog, but she's basically my only model. I'm in a portrait kick these days and would like to know your opinions on this photo. Trying to improve on my "pet portrait challenge entry. Taken with my 85mm 1.8
this was my pet portrait entry
BTW, this site has helped me a TON so far. I am definately getting better at photography. |

I prefer the top one, the 2nd one the collar is too big and heavy in the picture, even on the top one I would crop a little off the bottom. Nice light in the eyes.
But generally watch the backgrounds on your shots. The couch (tho blurred a little which makes it better) is sticking out of the middle of the dogs head.
If you need a new subject try self portraits : )

Very cute dog. Very good shots, although I agree about the collar being to prominent in the 2nd picture.

here was my most recent challenge entry with the dog that just ended
and I actually uploaded the wrong photo for this, the correct one had the dust taken care of to the right of her.
