I need to buy new color matching hardware. My Huey doesn't seem to want to color match my new Dell 3007 LCD. Comes out pink. It works with my Dell 20" LCD. Plus it can't do both my monitors. (The pro can, but it's the same hardware, and after reading about a bunch of people having pink adjustments, I decided to try something else.)

Anyway, I ws about to buy the Eye One, and I ran across this new device that also can match prints.

I think (perhaps incorrectly) that it would be a good way to really make sure what I am uploading on DPCPrints (for example) will yield the colors I'm expecting. Right now, the only way to be sure is to order a print of anything you upload. It would be nice develop a color profile for DPCPrints (would need to print a test target with them), and to be able to proof using a local color profile for my printer.

Does that make sense? Or do you think monitor profiling is sufficient?

Does anyone have the ColorMunki yet? What do you think?

While I'm at it, what's your opinion of the Eye One?

Ok, last try. Does anyone have an opinion of this ColorMunki device, or the value of investing in a device like this versus the Eye One? I want to buy something soon. My Huey just isn't doing it for my relatively new Dell 3007.

Hey Neil,

I've never used either of the ones your looking at though have used the Spyder 2.

A friend uses the Spyder 2 Pro with success.
