My wife has been wanting me to photograph her flowers, and since a lot of folks here seem to like flower pics I uploaded a couple to my portfolio. I have more photos, but I haven't finished processing them. Please have a look and tell me what you think. I will appreciate any comments, critiques, criticisms you care to offer.

Wow, you're lucky to have flowers like that already. We still can't get rid of the snow. Nice photos. For some reason, I feel like I would prefer a more straight on shot...looking directly up towards the flower, rather than down and at an angle.

Pretty nice. Try using a higher Fstop so that more of the flower is in focus. Since you were at 1/90 sec at F5, use a tripod when your increase your Fstop to F9 or whatever.

Then in Photoshop, increase the contrast a little and enhance the intensity of the colors after if needed. Also, try to isolate the flowers more... meaning notice the background while moving left and right to look for an all green background.

Yes, I̢۪ll have to try that. I didn̢۪t really take my time with these shots because it was just starting to get dark and just starting to rain too. I hand held the camera, so I had to bump the ISO up to 200. Maybe tomorrow I can spend some time and get better shots.

Thank you for your comments.

I think March Daffodils has, by far, the most artistic composition of the three - the grace of the flowers and how they fill the frame are really nice.

That one is my wife's favorite too. Thanks for the comment.
