Yeah, Nick.....C'mon down! |
I was driving around today and noticed my car making squeaking sound when I'm making left turn. Now I'm thinking if it is just rust on the breaks or something else. I don't know if I should drive that far now. It is too late to go to mechanic now. Ideas anyone?

Well, Lisa and I are ready and looking forward to the event.
I'll still grab a bag of ice and bring it for drinks, as I didn't see ice on the latest iteration of the list.
BTW, I notice that here, 2½ hours south, the 17 year locusts are setting up a pretty good whirr/tone......wonder what they'll be like there.
Just in case: 717-919-2120, Verizon, I'll have a signal at least 'til I'm close for any last minute requests......coverage was spotty, but there for me last year.
Se y'all manana!

There is a local photographer that I have communicated with by e-mail. I have told him about DPC and our GTG . I invited him to come along. I hope nobody minds.
We'll be meeting tomorrow for the the first time face to face. We're going to Montour Preserve and shoot some dragonflies (hopefully) before we head to Ricketts.
See you all there

I'm going to bring a photographer friend of mine along too. She's a real trooper. Old enough to be my mom but can hike and shoot with the best of them! I have a second cooler that will carry 40lbs of ice. I just picked the ice up at the beverage drive thru and threw it in the deep freeze.
Looking forward to seeing you all in the AM I'll be up around 10. |

Going to bed early so I can get up at the butt-crack of dawn. Lord willing, I'll be there around 9:30. |

LOL!!! Just came back from the Sheetz....full tank o' gas, and two bags of ice that I threw in the deep freeze.
Loaded the grille, utensils, and am gathering the plates et al now.
ETA: Dunno what happened to the bowls, but I have a ton of cups, large & small plates, and am bringing a roll of napkins (Paper Towels).

Unfortunately it looks like I'm not going to make it.
I have to get numerous drawings done for work and the presentation I have next week.
Maybe just maybe I'll eventually get to make it to one of these.

I'm outside Carlisle, Pa, so depending where you live.....

Here are some quick ones before I head to work:
Each of these was after 4 hours of hiking. Nobody was hot, tired or sweaty. We were all in great shape and still fresh as a daisy despite the scorching heat. :)

And the falls themselves:

I wound up not being able to make it last minute. But it looks like you guys had a great time. It was quite the piping hot day.
"Is that puddle in the background of that one photo part of a waterfall or a melted DPCer?" |
