I could probably handle a burger for lunch! :)
I'll bring some kind of side dish, maybe see if I can con my mom into making her delicious broccoli salad too.
I'm still trying to convince my boyfriend to come along, not sure if he could handle that many photog nuts at one time! lol j/k of course :)

It would depend on how much I have for breakfast that day and also what kind of links we have and how good they are. |

Please put me down for "plastic forks/spoons/sporks".
My wife wants to make something also. Probably a dessert item.
Haven't seen much activity on this thread. Is it still a go? |

Geez, I hope so! I'm psyched for it.....I'm carrying 100 pounds less this year, so I won't be wheezing my way around.
I said earlier that I am bringing my grille again, and I make a pretty kickin' pasta salad that chills and travels well.
I also have a sh*tload of paper plates, bowls, & cups left over from camping that my kid doesn't do amy more, so I got that covered.

I will eat any food that is put in front of me.
Ok, maybe don't quote me on that when someone fries up antelope testicles or something... |

Put me down for buns and bags (trash). I'm not far from Ricketts so if you think of anything on short notice, let me know. I'm gonna make a trip this coming weekend to scout the status of the park. Tony, are you interested in going? Or any body else who's local?

If you haven't already bought trash bags, I have some left over from her parent's house when we emptied it. |

OK, looks like we've got all the basics covered. We should feast like kings and then wobble down the trails.
As people get there, we can move a few cars to the parking lots down below (before they fill up) for transportation back up to the top when we get done. |

As I mentioned before I'll bring hot dogs and I'll bring some good brats and some kielbasa. Whatever doesn't get eaten I'll be happy to take home or send you all off with some doggie bags. It looks like there will be plenty to eat. :-) |

OK, we're one week away.
Let's try to nail down some of the final details. Those of you who live in the area and know the park better - which parking lot should we meet at to get near some picnic tables? Looking at the map, does the Lake Leigh Trailhead Parking Lot work? Any other spot better?
And we've got several people who have responded with a maybe. Anybody in that category have a better idea of yes or no? Just curious.
Is there anything I'm missing that needs to be addressed? |

Move me from maybe to probably. Is there anything the group still needs? |

I don't know how I missed you in the first place and didn't get you on the list. |

Any determination of "where? what parking lot?"
Can we have a map link via Google or such? Then we'd know exactly where to go. (Or even Lat/Long co-ords) ;) |

At the very top of the thread, there's the link to the park's website. And you can download a detailed pdf map of the park. I'd like some of the people who live near the park to give us an idea as to the best place to park up top for a picnic.

Can I suggest we simply meet at the Visitor's Center up by the lake? It just seems like a nice, easy-to-find place to meet right off Route 487, and we can head to a nearby picnic area from there (and we could probably easily leave a note at the center for late-comers to let them know where we're going to be).
There appear to be a few picnic spots down the road a ways from the center.
Assuming I'm looking at the right thing on Google Earth, the Visitor's Center should be at 41 20.144, -76 18.089.
I'm heading up there on Saturday afternoon/evening, and will be glad to scout things out once I'm there. If anyone else wants to get together that night, let me know! We could shoot some falls in some nice, late evening light if all goes well.

Unless there are any objections, I think that's a fine idea. Visitor Center for the initial meeting. Then we can work out who's moving their cars to the lower parking lots for the rides back up when we're done. |

I met up with Spydr there on Sunday to take a look around and realized that my cell phone (Verizon) doesn't work at all in that area. I hear that AT&T does, but not Verizon. I don't know about the other carriers.
I figured that since everone is so dependent on cell phones it would be better if you all knew this.

Weather's looking like it should be nice and hot. They're predicting nearly 90 degrees in that area for the weekend. |
