Just thought i'd share...even though I haven't been around these parts for some time...(work and family getting in the way of hobbies) :-)

So I decided to purchase some Alienbees.
2 AB800s with a softbox and shoot thru umbrella...and some grids. I bought the beefy 13' stands for the lights.
Also bought two rolls of paper for backdrops.

I don't know what I'm doing yet, but so far I'm having fun trying to figure out what works and what doesn't.

Here are some shots from my first shoot. My model (6 year old daughter) had a fever and generally didn't want to be there (as you can see from some of the expressions), but overall, she was a great sport...so we made it a short session.
