Have many of you have to turn back your cameras or had them reperd shorly after you´ve got them?
I´ve almost decided to buy such camera but was reading owner´s opinions on DPreview and some was complaining about that.
Please reply if you know anything about their reliability (good or bad).

There are 606 Canon 300D owners here.
What kind of repair?
I've read DPreview for years. It was the same in the Olympus forum when I got my E-20. Just the way NEW things are sometimes perceived and treated there.
It's a Canon. Buy from someone you trust! If it worries you so much by from -brick and mortar- so if you do have to return it you have somewhere to go.

Good luck.

I read DPReview before I got mine, and was slightly worried. The fact is, search a review forum and you'll find a small number of people that have problems with ANY product.

I've had mine for 2.5 months and I've taken about 6000+ shots without any probs whatsoever.

I´ve had mine since january, no problems so far.

You have to consider one thing, there are many many thousands of 300d owners. A small percentage of the cameras are faulty in one way or another, it is probably the same % as with any other electronic gadget. The problem is that this small % is a very LOUD minority and they often express their views/experiences very loudly on forums such as dpreview.com

Those who are happy and have no problem with the camera don´t usually post that their camera has been working fine for this and that long.

Go, buy, enjoy! :)

Bought mine in November and not had any problems with it at all. It's very reliable, battery life is outstanding.

Now after saying that just watch and something will go wrong!

:-)
