Just got a new coupon in the mail from NYIP -- "Save $350" -- making the Complete Course in Professional Photography $648 when paid up front (I'm in the US). Plus, they say, four additional "gifts" -- a 42" reflector pack, a 28"x24"x24" light tent, an instructional DVD and a "surprise photography book".

From those who've been on their mailing list for a while -- should I wait for a better offer, or is this traditionally about the best discount they give?

Thanks - Chuck

Bumping, as I am also interested in the answer.

with my experiences, that's the best offer you'll get. If you decided to pay monthly, with no discount, they offer discount each time they send you new invoice, with savings if you pay the rest at once. So, you'll still get offers, but this is the best one they always give you. I have not received anything better, and I did wait one year until I joined... unless if they change their promotions.

I decided to bite the bullet and join.

If anyone wants the discount, I just saw it advertised online somewhere else (same promo code as they sent me in the email), and it's been extended to June 4. Same details as I described in my original post.

If you want to promo code, do a little searching or just PM/email me and I'll pass it along -- from what I can tell, it's open to anyone.

Honestly, I cant respect an institution that offers a "discount" on their education. It looks more like a for profit business (which it is) than an educational program.

...of course, this is just my opinion.

I think there are more than enough resources online on photo forums to teach you what they'll teach you and more...and its free.
