Does anyone have a Spyder calibrator that they use with a laptop? I have a Sony Vaio (no clue how to calibrate it) and a friend recommended Spyder. Do you think Spyder 3 Pro is enough, or is Elite just so much easier/better that it's worth the money?
Anyone use it to calibrate a laptop, like a Vaio?
Thanks for your help and advice!!!

I also read that Spyder 3 Elite isn't nearly as good as Spyder 2 Pro... any thoughts on this? Other calibrators better?

| Not Really sure about the comparison. But I set up both my Desktop with both monitors, and 2 Laptops, and all 4 came out diferent, and none of them seemed calibrated. I've done a better job setting it manually |

Hmmm, not good. My friend uses Spyder 2 Pro and loves it! Says her prints come out perfect. I wonder what everyone else thinks?

| I've got 2-Pro, it seems that after calibration I was seeing more what others were seeing (my screen calibrated much darker when done). Haven't printed much to compare yet. |

This is now my problem of the day! My Vaio laptop uses Nvidia Graphics card, so I tried calibrating using their sliders and graphs (mostly impossible). I got my prints back from WHCC and they are so grey (no true whites at all)... so I know I'm very poorly calibrated! Eeeek!
I want to go out and buy some calibration software today, but nobody has anything in stock but Spyder 3 Express. I really feel like Spyder 2 Pro would be better for me, as it's proven tried and true for some friends now.
Any one else have any suggestions for monitor calibration? Anyone know how to use those Nvidia graphs to get my colors more green, less cyan and less yellow? I have tinging in cyan on my monitor, not on my print. I have a slight green hue on my print, but shows yellow on my monitor. My monitor shows white, the print shows grey.
Oh boy! Any help would be appreciated! I wish laptops came with dials and knobs!

I ended up with an Eye One by Xrite! The great people at Samy's Camera helped me out a lot and even helped me install and run it. I am going to do some test prints now and send them off to WHCC. Wish me luck!
