Might have done alright. Most creative of the music shots IMO. Too bad you missed out.

I got my entry submitted in less than an hour before the cut-off time. I only came up with the idea a few hours before.

Once again 2 minutes before deadline.

My latest yet, I'd entered but knew I had to change it...So starting at 8 (11 EST), I had my art friend help me to go through my many choices. Submitted 30 minutes before it started, with details 20 minutes...

I really like yours, but it seems a bit too dark.

Nice pic of strings. Well done, nicely focued and composed, well edited.

A bit abstract, which i generally like, but it does not jump out at me (better than most if not all the entries like it).

Few of the entries jump out at me, but that is normal. I tried 4 or 5 different things, and picked the one that jumped out at me the most. It can be tough to be good at every type or subject of photography, so this weekly type of contest keeps on active and mentally challenged, but not everyone will have the ability to succeed in every challenge.

I am at 11 votes and a 6.0. I am AMAZED so far at that. My pic is I think one of the better of it's type, but nothing outstanding. I was getting steadily higher scores until 'off screen expectation', whcih actually rose about .25 point in the last 2 days. Most of the comments were the same - too noisy. SOOO, i will try to avoid noisy pics inthe future IF i want to score well.

Surprisingly few pets/kids/sunsets/flowers, and those that are there fit the challenge! progress!

Your picture is well composed and strings are well focussed.

I made a similar attempt
but did not submit because I couldn't get the focus and lighting right. I made two other shots but didn't enter them either:

, and
.

Any opinions on whether I should have submitted any of these pictures for the parallels challenge or on what improvements I should make on them? Thanks.

I really wanted to enter this shot but it was taken 3 whole days before the challenge started. I was gonna bo back yesterday to reshoot it but the weather & snow jept me from doing it! Curses!

What do you guys think?
