I'm relatively new to photography. Any suggestions/comments are greatly appreciated!!!

You're doing well with DOF selection and minimizing bg distractions. Tending toward centered compositions it seems like, which works ok in the tulip shot as the other bg flowers help tie it to the left side of the image. If not already blowing out the highlights, you're pretty close...time of day can make a huge difference. Check your histogram and see if you're losing detail (blinkies on LCD). If yes, try dialing down with the +/- EV settings on your camera. These shots appear to have been taken midday. Try the prime light periods early and late in the day.
Just a few quick observations and all JMO of course. :-D

glad2badad, thanks so much for the comments and suggestions. I will pay more attention at my histogram next time and try not to blow out the details.
And yes, the shots were taken midday, i'll try to wake up earlier next time and catch the prime light period. thanks again. |
