Well, its finally up, there is still a bit of work to do, but everything is pretty much in place. I know there are some grammatical & spelling errors in there at the moment, but generally I am pleased with what I have so far, so if a bunch of you could test it that would be great.. I am not a web developer by any means and I have thrown this thing together with Dreamweaver in the best way I can, so its all HTML (aside from the gallery).. So if you can pass by and let me know what you think that would be great.

Cheers ears!!

I look at a TON of photograher's websites - its become a bit of a hobby lol; anyway, this is one of the most elegant and easy to navigate/understand that I've seen in a long time. The colors / fonts and imagery are all spot on! :)

Thanks Cindi, I did a lot of research and found a lot of websites are incredibly tiresome to navigate around, or waiting for Flash to load etc. So wanted to keep it basic yet functional. The colour scheme is geared towards `girlie` as it will be mostly the fairer sex who will be looking for stuff like this.

I appreciate your feedback.

It is pretty and elegant... the only suggestion I have is with the text. I feel like I need to squint to read it. If it could be just a shade darker, I think it might help. As it is, I feel like I need to bump the contrast up a bit :)

I have to agree with the colour of the text - it's a bit too pale.

A couple of other thoughts:

The Albums page is inconsistent with the other pages as you've lost the navigation, and haven't provided any means to get back to the front page.

Consider if you want to force the visitor to have to scroll the front page to see all of it.

You also might want to consider the psychology of admitting that it's a site under construction - and having blank and non-functioning pages. My feeling is that you should only put links and pages up that are finished because work-in-progress sends the wrong message - it implies you're not taking this seriously.

Otherwise it looks great - exactly the right tone.

Update: Having re-read your original post, and re-visited your site, I now know that the gallery page isn't blank as it first appeared to be (I'm on dial-up so Flash is generally incredibly slow) If you can get some sort of "loading" message up a bit quicker it might be better.

Thanks to both regarding color of text, I was trying to keep it easy on the eyes, so may consider darkening that a wee bit.

The bit about site under development is due to come down tomorrow anyway, I put it up there just as I was working on the site.

Regarding getting back to the frontpage, you can click on the eyecandy logo in the top left to return to the main page at anytime which I believe was common practice on most websites? But agree it might be worth putting one on the navigation bar.

great suggestion, thanks!
