D. M. Gremlin Studios is proud to continue our Workshop series with master photographer Adam Chilson.
Our first workshop on March 29th SOLD OUT, and images from that workshop can be seen here (NSFW - nudity).
We are now accepting registration (limited to 8 participants) for Adam's second workshop, "Industrial Lighting Magic."
This is an intermediate/advanced workshop focusing on lighting for industrial and metal themes.
**The basics of lighting metal: Utilizing inherent reflective qualities, avoiding pitfalls, and minimizing hot spots.
**Capturing the textures of metal: Including diamond plate, flat steel, chains, expanded steel, and perforated metal.
**The "mood" of metal: From bright and shining to rust and grunge, and use of gels to color metal.
**Crafting metal sets: The use of metal components both as backgrounds and as means of generating shadows.
**Lighting a model in the set, both separately and integrated with metal set elements.
The all day workshop will include both demonstration and discussion portions, as well as individual shooting opportunities for each participant with our featured model on set.
Registration includes promotional model release for portfolio use of images shot at the workshop.

Just Announced:
We have now confirmed SCAR as our Featured Model for the April 26th workshop!
Scar can be found at Model Mayhem #8939. She is a coast-to-coast and internationally known Gothic and fetish icon with extensive print and online credits. Scar accepts very limited and select engagements, so this will be a great opportunity for our participants to shoot with her, and to add to their portfolios images which carry the prestige of a shoot with a model of this caliber.
Scar is also an accomplished makeup artist and stylist, so she will be on set in full-production hair and makeup styling in her own unique character.
Again, complete workshop details and registration information can be found at the workshop web site, //www.starkravenmusic.com/workshop.html.

In following with our studio's general philosophy of keeping creative opportunities within reach of independent artists, we have decided to offer this workshop at the reduced cost of $250. Comparable workshops with instructors and models of this caliber are priced at $500-$800 per person, making our program truly an opportunity that can not be found elsewhere.
We hope that this will make it possible for some of you to attend this workshop who might otherwise not have been able. It is going to be a really remarkable event, and we are looking forward to working with those who take part!

Already talked to a few people who have attended workshops in the past priced at $600-$800 - and there wasn't even any instruction given. This workshop will definitely give detailed techniques and information for any photographer to raise the bar for future projects - as well as portfolio images to attract higher-level models. So it's the best of both worlds, for a far lower price than you can even simply rent most studios for a few hours, much less all day, with a proven model, full production set, AND all of the information that will be presented.
