Hey Fellow DPC'ers, me again! ;o)

As most of you know by now Ecce Signum and I do a bit of fundraising for a cause very close to our hearts. Last year a very kind DPC member helped us with our logo...

The logo contains everything we wanted and will remain our main logo on our website etc for as long as we are fundraising. However, the logo isn't easily printable on things like t-shirts so I would really love to see if you guys can come up with a quirky logo for us to use on merchandise.

We go under the name RoseBuddies for most things so I'd like the logo to include a rose (flower), but not a red one, and for the 'Buddies' bit the only idea I have is for a quirky/funny person holding on to the rose.

You can see our fundraising website HERE if you fancy trying to get a few more ideas or please feel free to ask any questions here :o)

The image will need to be a good size for printing on t-shirts and other merchandise and if their can be an element of fun in there as well as our name 'RoseBuddies' and our web address www.rosemcgill.co.uk that would be really cool.

So, if you happen to have a little time on your hands and you fancy having a go at putting something together for us we will be extremely grateful :o) I have ideas but I'm just useless at creating them on either the PC or paper!

Thanks for reading :o)

Natalya :o)

Edit to add: The image can be computer generated, hand drawn (though this would need to be scanned) or if your super creative and can take a photograph you think might work that would be great too :o)

Natalya, dear, I capture, I don't create, but should I come across a rose that might fit your cause, I'll be sure to capture it for you! And I'm also sure the very creative folks here will come up with something spectacular. :-)

That's my problem too Deb :o( I wish I could turn my ideas into the logo I want but I just don't have that much needed creative streak! Thanks for keeping an eye out for us, much appreciated :o)

If you feel like looking outside of DPC you might try Pixish. //pixish.com/
It's a new site (still in beta) which brings artists/photographers together with people who have graphics needs. Registration is free.

WOW Luana, that is fantastic!

For some reason I am not getting email notification of new posts so I've just logged in and seen this!

I can't believe how quick you came up with this and how well you have picked up what I was trying to say! This is great.

I'll send you a PM now to discuss things further!

THANK YOU again, DPC is a wonderful place!

Off topic, I've also been doing some on and off research over the past couple of weeks into a wheelchair arm SLR mounting system...like we chatted about at the GTG. I've still got to find one or two bits but just wanted to let you know it's still in my head gathering momentum and details :) As soon as it's ready I'll mail you...but it's basically a clamp for the arm, a firm gooseneck lamp style support...into a small ball head. The idea being that you can mount your cam to the head, and then can bring the camera to your eye (or use liveview if you have it) with plenty of flexibility for framing, and most importantly central ergonomics. Shouldn't cost a great deal of money either. More as it happens :)

that totally rocks Bobo.

It is simple and would look amazing blazing across the front of anyone chest!!! I think that is just perfect.

I wil buy one!

You know you could put the single rose on the sleeve of the t shirt that would look cool.

Boo you are so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or split up the elements in other ways (back/front, sleeve/back/front, redistribution of elements, etc etc).

Seriously excellent piece of work. Your fame, competence and so on must be spread far and wide.

Hey, if you look through some of my portfolio, I have a real thing for roses.

If you want, I can post a bucket of thumbs later.....(When I'm not at work!)
