This has never happened to me:
I fell by 0.37 within 4 votes; that means I have got 2 1s within 28 minutes . What's wrong with you people?

now I am at 5.7
I sometimes wonder if I have pissed people off (yeah ok I have) and this is revenge LOL |

this was an interesting challenge - there were less "warm color" pics than not. i'm a tad disappointed with my score though :(. it started out at 6.6 with 12 votes and has fallen to 5.6ish with 36. 1 comment so far. i hope it picks up :(. |

Geez enough with the 1s people. The picture still gives you that warm feeling regardless of the borderline color of the subject. :(

No disrespect intended here, but what does "feeling" have to do with it? It's about warm "colors" if I read it correctly...
A shot of a warm fuzzy black puppy taken on an overcast day (or indoors) will still be cool in colors regardless of subject. |

In my opinion if the collection of the colors convey warm in the picture, its considered warm. Regardless if one of the colors is not. But then again thats my opinion and others seem to disagree. I just live and learn. |

It's cool (no pun intended). I keyed in on your "warm feeling...borderline color of subject"; subject being the key word indicating primary focus/impact of the photo. |

Black , White are not really colors, in fact they are called the state of all colors ( black)& noncolor (white), because all colors reflect amount of light which give us the color we see for each one but in the case of white it reflect all the light & black obserb all the light,so technically we see nothing for black or every thing for white, that is why you can't put them under the warm nor cool colors groups.

I hear you: I'm not suffering too badly. Have a 6.1/6.2 thing going. But in voting, I have to tell you that I'm one of those emotional voters (as I am an emotional photographer) - a picture has to move me first. The technicals come later...I respond instinctively to an image. So if it's a "Warm Colours" challenge, I go into voting looking to find "Warm". I bare in mind that I need to be looking for warm tones/colours.... but I have to say that in some instances in this challenge, there are images in which 90% of the picture is a warm colour, but it evokes no emotional response in me... it quite literally leaves me cold. It's flat - although sometimes it is technically great...?
So that's how I vote.

The way I see it, that a picture can be techincally correct, but convey no emotion or no story.
And viceversa, I can find a picture that is technically incorrect, but conveys the right emotion and a great story.
So I have to agree, the picture has to strike me emotionally and give me some story. A warm/cool color only picture with no story or emotion is empty.

Went up as high as 5.78 and dropping through the day. I suspect I am now getting hammered by the folks who are looking for a sense of warmth, rather than warm colors. That's fine if that's how you interpret it, but please leave me comments to tell me why you think it sucks.

54 Votes. 6 comments.
Started with a 4.5, this morning I was a 6.3...then down to 6.1, now a 6.0. If this continues, I'll be back to 4.5 soon. :(
