I am looking for some feedback on my recent PSP7.0 work.

original

Edited

Can you tell this was taken in the harsh afternoon sun in the middle of July? Any other comments would be helpful!

Well if you are looking to see what parts 'look' edited then it seems like just a crop, blurred background, and maybe added some contrast. The crop isolates the flower better, as does the background blur, although the edges are slightly softer now because of it. That's not necessarily a bad thing if you are going for a soft and dreamy mood. It's good. If you were looking to make further changes then you could have a go trying to dodge the harsh shadow on the foreground petal (not the shadow of the wings, that actually looks good), and also dodge the 'head' of the bee/wasp so it didnt blend into the flower as much.

I like the original crop better. Yes I can tell it was taken in bright harsh sun. cloudy day=good You may also try a polorizer.

Forget about trying to make a bad shot into a good one and just start with a better shot.(I hope that doesn't come across as rude)
