Is there any indication that it is affecting the other challenges? Cause, I would really like to believe that's why my "intimacy" shot is dropping like a rock today!! Happy April Fool's Day everyone...it's almost over!!

Here's an idea for next April Fool's Day...everytime someone hits their update button, their score drops by 1/10...but they get a favorite!!! That would certainly mess with those addicted to their update button!!

Can't top that!!! Now, that's funny! So, by inference, the site council has created a "straw man" for an April Fool's "joke"? (I'd like to laugh, too! Guess I'm too stupid to understand.)

I'd like to volunteer for the HC (Humor Council). If you suspect someone of the crime of no humor, you can report them to me. I can assure you, I take lack of humor very seriously. Just ask MAK about his unfunny escapades.

Reconsider ... it would suck the life energy out of your otherwise thoughtful and humor laden brain!

Here's the ultimate dilemma of "whatever happened". We don't know if our existing scores include a malicious "1", or not. We don't know if the scores our images are carrying are sincere, honest votes, or are the result of someone's (SC's or raish's) sense of humor. I think this degrades the integrity of the contest. We, the people, know nothing. Thanks, SC!

You know the humorless people get their way the other 364 days of the year. Allow us our one day... sheesh...

p.s. I think raish was framed by the Site Conspiracy. I can't believe he would go through the same trouble of fixing comments again.

Just because some of us don't happen to view a childish inane prank as hilarious doesn't mean we don't have a sense of humor......especially as it pertains to an already tired prank.

Now this:

Is funny.

Guess what?

It's not at the expense of everybody in a challenge and is quite a bit more clever and humorous.

Maybe it's not that some of us don't have a sense of humor.......maybe it's just that we had four year olds in our homes a looooooong time ago and now have an evolved sense of humor.

We're judging humour now? :)

not sure what expense you're talking about. I've still got 6 minutes left, so go flog yourself. I'll be nice again in 6 minutes (but I'll be in bed).

Jeez, I love it when I have to explain what seems obvious.

The snow thing? That's funny without having to personally trash someone or by laughing at their misery......it's poking fun at themselves at worst.

The DNMC 1 thing?

First.....it's childish

Second.......already done, therefore tiring

Third.....it causes unnecessary grief for those who take the particular challenge seriously, and actually care about their score.

So......that would be the EXPENSE, humor at someone's misfortune and/or anguish at this stupid prank.

Nice attitude, go flog yourself.

That's the kind of immature shit that makes people tired of the site altogether.

Grow up.

Someone's bordering on being in violation of the SOH requirement. The scores prank - I'd ban that only for the combination of Jeb's items #2 and #3 combined - although I find it amusing in and of itself that people actually grieve over their score during the voting phase. Screwing with the final result, I can understand causes strife. Item #2 (been done before) by itself is also not grounds for a HDQ or this DPCer would have been suspended by now.

The snow pic - eh, not very funny, IMO. Mildly amusing at best (no offense to the photog). And who's to say someone who is stuck out in a dry desert land sees that picture and doesn't grieve or isn't taunted by it, causing untold emotional distress?

I think the trauma that has become April Fools Day is over. Let's all just take a deep breath and thank the good Lord we survived it.

I hope I didn't cause too much grief or emotional pain - especially if you were one of the "DNMC 1" victims - you people have suffered enough.

a little charity would ease my greif, maybe a tax deductable donation

no but really, the only thing that pisses me off is the fact that it didnt hit everyone, if it had hit everyone then all the averages would have been brought down equally, therefore having no effect on the overall placement...

Do they join in the fun with a hearty laugh? Do they require the vandal to clean up the mess? And, finally, is this a "forgive and forget" incident because it's April Fool's Day? My car was in the parking lot. And, feels like it's been vandalized.

More like 501 fake eggs, carefully placed as to do no harm while the police chuckle, and removed later. No vandalism there, sorry :)

Sorry to disappoint. I didn't vote or comment on the FS. I also didn't think it was all that great of a prank the first time around in terms of the effort/payoff ratio. Not that I haven't had plenty of bad ratios myself, mind you.

Wow - I missed these posts about the car egging. Now THAT might have been me. ...'cept the part about getting caught.

I think you're missing something in all this (or maybe I am) - first, do we KNOW he/she actually voted a 1? and even if so, there are still many days left for the perp to go back and change their vote and if they don't the votes will be tossed out by the all-knowing vote scrubber. I am 99% confident the challenge outcome will not be affected by the prank.

I know they did cause my score dropped considerably when I got that comment.

Definitely not me then - all the comments I leave turn into clam chowder. And everyone clicks on clam chowder.

It's okay I think Judi, raish posted in this thread:

I just might have something really exciting in store for next year, but - erm - don't hold your breath?

I disagree strongly. this image is quite possibly insulting, and possibly racist with links to the neo-canucKKK movement (note all that WHITE). or maybe even the anti-neo-canucKKK movement (note too that the white is FREE - like it has no value!)

As if all Canadian's have a sense of humor because of the snow. Look, I grew up in a place that had not very much snow, but we got some dangit! And my sense of humor is vestigial!

GRRR.

OK Art, now hurry up and burn my village, the villagers are COLD!
