thanks for the comment, however, it is a web site animoto.com that did the shows.

Animoto is pretty cool. I haven't paid for it yet, have only made a few of their 30-second freebies.
I do kinda wish that you could give it "hints" about rendering some of the images so that you don't end up with images where the face is out of frame the entire time that the body appears on the screen. (sometimes it is moving the body into position, but it cuts away just before the face comes into view and that just bugs me)

Yeah, I agree with your observation with Animoto.
If only the site gave other options to help your slideshow including roll over thumbnails making them a bit bigger, different fade options, seeing and hearing the music and the picture layers side by side to make adjustments on the fly before rendering.
Have you heard of ProShow 3 Gold, or ProShow 3 Producer? I am currently assessing them out to see if I want to go that direction.

I use ProShow Producer. But the Gold version is almost as powerful for a lot less money. I highly recommend it.

And I concur - ProShow Producer is superb.
It's very configurable, can produce flash slideshows, and the Ken Burns effects are highly configurable.
Gold will do nearly all that Producer will, but the output formats are limited.
The Animoto 30-sec freebie was fun and is certainly unique. |
