Yesterday was the first day of spring. Almost all of our snow melted with exception of the larger piles aside driveways and places where plows piled it up. Anyway the grass was showing and it was 41 degrees. This morning we have 2-3 inches of snow on the ground they just said on tv that in about an hour the snow will start falling at a rate of 2 inches per hour and continue that pace for several more hours. We are expecting a total of 10-15 inches of this crap by days end. They are saying it is the worst storm of the winter season for us and could set a new record for amount of snow for the season.

So much for a mild winter! We had that stuff last week. Hopefully it will warm up and melt that stuff off fast for you.

We've had Spring twice already. In between we had about 10cm of wet heavy snow.

Today we had cloudly and gusty. Followed by patches of sunshine. Followed by cloudly and gusty and a bit of rain. Then hail! Then rain. Then thunder/lightning/hail! Then cloudy and gusty followed by windy with patches of blue sky in some places. Now we have sunshine. It's been an interesting day.

Yep, snow is coming down, and it looks like it will be an "interesting" trip home from work this evening :-p
Nothing like Wisconsin in March... if you don't like the weather wait a few minutes.

yeah tell me about it, 2 weeks ago we were standing out in the tundra watching ice form on your stash, yesterday my kids were running around in our front yard picking up sticks without coats on, now we are getting ready for the first round of shoveling. If the airport wasn't closed I would be hopping on a flight out of here.

A friend took this of "spring" in Quebec. I snickered. :)

Well, 10 inches and counting... doesn't look like it will end for several hours yet. I suspect we'll be in 12+ inch territory before it's over.

Beautiful day here, though yesterday was very windy. I just went out to take photos of blossoms (peach, apricot?).

We probably have that many also, It is still snowing here but has let up quite a bit over the past couple hours. I think we are in the last wave now.

Would you have rather had a little rain?

We're supposed to get 3-6" tonight, although nothing is happening yet. Just in time to drive to my parents' for Easter... woo hoo!

Channel 4 is more optimistic - 2 to 4 w/ beaver county on the 1-2/2-4 line, so 2 inches. Channel 11 has the 3-6 scary forecast. No clue what 2 is guessing.

My new GPS should arrive soon - a 60Csx just like my hero, Alan. I got a PDA so am paperless, if the weather ever lets up a bit I can give a try. Last time out my old GPS couldn't tell me which side of a raging, freezing cold stream I needed to be on.

If the weather can moderate I can start work on my new camera room - I'm taking over most of the garage, but I need to build a shed to move all my crap into first.

We're still 8 to 10 degrees below normal temps, and my yard is soooo soft - I was out picking up teh winters collection of dead tree branches and I was sinking everywhere.

Yeah, but we're heading for Punxsutawney, which is in the 6" territory. :(

You're gonna love it! Be sure to spring for the maps, too (I have CN 2008)... the autorouting is suh-weet! We'll be letting it autoroute us to FL next week so we can cruise to Mexico, so it can do whatever it wants up here then :)

In other news... I was just thinking of you earlier tonight as we ate at your old stomping grounds. The service seems to have gone waaaay downhill since your days there.
