DPChallenge is great because it motivates hobbyists to participate in a challenge that is all inclusive, and has a communal aspect that invites the sharing, and fostering of new ideas and techniques.
There is no other site that so brilliantly challenges people to be creative, and elevate digital photography to new hights.
Personally, I look forward to sharing my photos with like-minded individuals that might share in my aspect of the photography spectrum, and we all have our own. I've definitely found many DPC members that I share creative similarities with, and many that just blow me away with possibilities. It's a very humbling, and rich experience.

Hmmm maybe that's as good a reason as any. |

Havent read this whole post but I agree I come here for the Community (the comeraderie I built with my fellow DP Leaguers) and to enter challenges. I find it hard to motivate without being able to put those two together. |

Radio buttons, no. Makes sense. So, choose your main reason.
Well... what about, in the future, maybe polls like this would be worded "what is your main reason".
I don't know if it is difficult to predict that people will have more than one reason for coming.
And that way, *stating explicitly* for us to choose our main reason would very much help avoid a lot of frustration. |
