We had a rowing machine. When it was first bought, I'd say it was used a bit. But then it just went for months and months without being used. The good thing is that when we sold it, we got almost as much money as we paid out in the first place :D
Save the money. |

Keep it up man! As a current college rower, I would say there are few effective alternatives to the concept2 for full-body cadiovascular exercise.
As a tip, I would recommend making sure your abs and lower back are strong so that you avoid a repetitive strain injury to your back until your technique shores up. Just incorporate crunches, leg lifts, planks, back extensions, or the ab workout of you choosing after your workout while you stretch. |

I would invest in a gym membership instead. Mine has a rowing machine there and I use it for like 4 minutes and then I'm bored. (and my butt hurts) |

Sara,
I'm on my way. If I keep my current pace I'll be there in about 2.5 years. I'm hoping to join the million metre club before my birthday in September (I'll get a pin!). At that point I'll nearly be out of the St. Lawrence and to the Atlantic Ocean.
Keep that beer ready! :-D
Everyone else, thanks. I've had it for nine days now & enjoying it very much.
