I got my underwater housing Ikelite and strobes Ds 125 strobefor my camera a few weeks ago and wanted to show you a few of my shots. I must say it is so difficult to take good shots underwater as you are always moving because of the current, light is so important, fish don't stop moving and don't pose. And you have to look through the veiw finder with a mask (goggles). Luckely I am an experienced diver and diving comes as second nature to me as im in the sea every day. Couldnt imagine trying to think of "diving" aswell as taking pics at the same time. Would be too much for a un experienced diver
I take my hat off to all underwater photographers. I must say it is awesome. 2 hobbies in one and I encourge any one interested.
Some good sites for tose interested

Very nice shots. You didn't list the equipment on your shots so I took a look at your list of lenses. I guess you were using the 10.5 fisheye.
I don't have strobes for my underwater housing yet. I have got to get some since they obviously make a huge difference, especially the deeper you go. Oh, yeah. I've got to get scuba certified someday too. 21 years in South Florida and I haven't taken the 'plunge' to get certified yet. Just a lot of snorkerling and some scuba with friends so far. |

I love those photos, all except for the b+w.
I must say that it is a crying shame to take those wonderful underwater colours and the special mood they create, then go kill them all into black & white..... tragic!!!! |
