Arthur C Clarke, the author of the story upon which the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey was based, and the man who first postulated communications satellites, has died at the age of 90. Farewell, Artie, you were an inspirational human being. |

i have more of his books than i can count.He has fired my imagination for years. He def. leg a long life tho.

I loved his Rama series. I think I'll head to the library to pick up one of his books tomorrow. |

Certainly a legend, for sure. Between him and Isaac Asimov, they kept the publishers busy! |
