I have browsed a lot of photography sites looking to make myself a webpage to host my photos. I noticed some people remove exif data from their images and some dont. Is it safer or not to remove the exif data when putting your photos online? For plagiarisms or copyright issues? selling photos ect.

It has nothing to do with any of that and largely has to do with the software used to create low res websize images. For example Photoshop allows you to "Save for web" which strips out the EXIF and gives you the option of resizing and using a lower quality setting.

This benefits us all by making image files smaller and faster to download.
