Duke almost lost to Belmont!

That is funny to me because I am Tennessee fan, and my sister's family are DUKE fans. Last week, she was going on about how UT was the weaker team because they were in a weak conference, yadda yadda yadda. I just looked at her like she was crazy. Duke is good. But, I don't think they are as good this year as in year's past. I don't look to see them playing but one, maybe two more games.

So there were 8 upsets (9 seed or lower winners...if we want to call a 9 over an 8 an upset) in the first round. I had 4 of them right. I had three others picked but got them wrong.

Right:
Arkansas (9) over Indiana
Villanova (12) over Clemson
Davidson (10) over Gonzaga
Texas A&m (9) over BYU

Picked but wrong:
St. Josephs (11)
Baylor (11)
Kentucky (11)

14 of my Sweet 16 are alive and my entire Elite 8 is still standing.

Got to love it. Round one was profitable up $360.00 needed the Villinova game to go over 145 1/2...bummmmer came in at 144 :(. Today we start round two good luck to all of you.

Yea, I was leading (THAT is a first) until Louisville dropped TN. I had TN losing in that round and got all optimistic. Bless their hearts, they play good ball, but they just can't seem to make it in the big games. :(

I got all of last nights elite 8 games right, even guessed Louisville over Tennessee. I am a happy clam right now as I am sitting on top of my respective pool. Hopefully the streak continues, good luck to ya all.

Give Kansas a lot of credit for having heart and doing what they needed to do to come back but there's no way they should have even been in position to win without Memphis making all kinds of mental mistakes. What a choke job by everyone on that team including Calipari. How in the world do you not foul and put your opponent on the line in the final seconds of the game when they need 3 points to tie? It was like watching a 16th seed trying to defend a late lead. Speaking of low seeds, too bad Davidson didn't reach the finals. I bet Curry would have at least had the guts to want the ball down the stretch unlike Rose who was looking for the exit the moment Kansas made their run.
