As this weeks open challenge is about to draw to a close, throughout the whole week I was able to keep a steady vote of around (5.10). My question to all you is this...
Is this good for a beginner in Photography and also new to submitting work?
By no means am I new to photography in general, but more so in the sense that I now after 6 years decided that I would like to make it a serious hobby, and have bought a few books and am reading up on it all. Things are still very blurry to me, things such as F stops and Shutter speed, it's confusing and much harder when you only have a Point and Shoot. I hope things clear up soon though, because I really do want to further my skills! Thanks.

Sounds good to me. My first three challenges were 4.2 to 4.4. There are some talented helpful people that hang out here and I'm learning something every challenge. (I'm learning that I shouldn't enter just because I'm addicted to the update button!) Seriously, this site is great!
Good luck. |

Thanks. I belong to Livejournal, and I submit photos to their community challenges as well. You wouldn't believe how many people just submit something "just so they had something submitted" I take great pride in my good eye for photography, and if I don't think something is worth submitting, then I won't. I would never submit a photo "just because."
Thanks for the input! I am just trying to figure out where I stand :)
