Another US-centric questionaire.
Who you rootin' for?
Clinton
McCain
Obama
Undecided
Doesn't matter to me
I don't live in the US, and I don't care
I don't live in the US and I am therefore an unrepresented citizen of a planet the US abuses at will.
McCain is cackling heartily at the prospect of running against a divided Democrat nomination.
So, Yes to Clinton, No to McCain, Yes to Obama, I have no vote and therefore no decision, It does matter to me, I don't live in the US and it affects my life so I do care. And I should pick one button?
The people with whom I speak most in the run of an ordinary day are refugees from places like Somalia, Iraq, Kurdistan, Palestine etc. On their behalf I would put it to the composer of this questionnaire:
You live in the US and you don't care.

There is already a political poll on the front page of the Digital Photography site I like to come to in an effort to escape the crap of this world.........so why does there need to be a thread too?

Because you can express your views in a thread and discuss matters that are not in the poll but are important to the poll.
I was unaware that you couldn’t have a thread on a subject that there was a poll running at the same time, seems to me the perfect time to discuss the subject.
By the way it is in the rant forum.

Bump!
It is another case of the lesser of the two... three evils. I think Obama is the least nuts. Hillary is unable to understand fact from fiction, lie from truth, or win from lose. McCain just seems too juiced up to continue down the road we are already on. However that said, I do not think Obama is perfect either.
Personally I would vote for Yasuyuki Okamoto, CEO of Nikon, however not being native born he cannot run. Oh well. Long live Nikon!

McCain will win because the democrats are imploding. Obama can't carry the states he would need to win the presidency and Clinton can't beat Obama, so there you are. McCain isn't a bad choice for democrats as he is a lot more liberal than he is given credit for.

Don't care who will become the next Head Terrorist president but I sure hope it's a woman. I want to see if they're any different than all the idiots men who have preceded her. Although we all know she won't be running things, it's mostly her male cronies that will take care of that. She's just a puppet placeholder. |

At least your derision isn't sexist. |

You're thinking of Dubya, not Hillary. Hillary will run things as much as any president has.
There's very little difference between Hillary and Obama. Both are Clinton democrats, corporate democrats. Republicans hate them not because they're liberal, but because their views are so compromised that they can win elections. Republicans hate to lose. My only hope is that Obama is hiding a more enlightened point of view than he lets on, so I voted for him.
It's hard to tell where McCain stands. I hope the Dems hit him with the flip-flop accusations that plagued Kerry. But if he stands anywhere near where he says he stands, then his presidency will be a disaster for the U.S. and the world.

McCain a liberal? Please. He's a hard core conservative on issues like abortion, gay rights, etc. He may seem moderate on things like campaign finance reform and such. But make no mistake, he is a conservative. |

Actually, I was kind of hoping this was the year a giant meteorite was going to hit Washington DC, and we could just start over again...
